Sandwich Panel Screw with EPDM Washer are used to fix sandwich panels to metal structures.
This type of screw has two different thread diameters:
- d1 – diameter 6.3 mm. This thread is designed to hold the sandwich panel.
- d2 – diameter 5.5 mm. This thread is designed to penetrate and engage the metal base.
Screw material: Steel
Washer material: Steel + EPDM
Sandwich panel screw with a penetration capacity of up to 12 mm
- Drilling capacity / working range / of the screw from 4 mm to 12 mm.
- Long drill - approximately 14 mm long. This type of drill is also known as tip #5.
- Fine thread pitch at diameter d2 5.5 mm. The fine pitch is more suitable for metal bases from 4 to 12 mm. It penetrates the metal more easily and is less likely to self-unfold under vibration.
Assembly
Depending on the thickness of the sandwich panel, screws of different lengths are used.
Table 1 lists recommended screw lengths relative to sandwich panel thickness.
