SELF TAPPING SCREWS FOR PLASTERBOARD
They are characterized by a sharp tip that easily penetrate the sheet metal of the profile. Depending on the length of the fastener it is possible to fasten several layers of boards. Self-tapping screws are very suitable for the installation of fire protection or soundproofing systems.
SELF-DRILLING SCREWS FOR PLASTERBOARD
They do not need to be pre-drilled. They are characterized by the presence of a drill at the end of the screw. When turning the screw itself penetrates the surface to which it is attached.
Depending on the type of thread the Self-tapping as well as the Self-drilling screws can be with fine or coarse thread pitch.
According to the type of head we offer drywall screws with a bugle head, a wafer head and a Pan framing head.
The advantage of the bugle head is that it sinks completely into the workpiece in which it turns and remains flush with it. Bugle head screws are most often used for fastening plasterboard sheets. Installation is quick and easy with a screwdriver or Phillips screwdriver. The drywall screws which have a wafer head provide a stronger grip which is why they are used to fasten the plasterboard profiles to the corresponding surface (wood, metal, etc.). Screws with a Pan framing head are used for frame constructions in light steel or sheet metal.
Depending on the needs and the application you will find drywall screws with the following coatings - galvanized and black/grey phosphated.
Phosphate is a transition coating that is used as a lubricant and at the same time improves corrosion resistance.
